23 Apr The National Youth Market
Are you aged 16 to 21, based in the UK and trading on markets or market-type events, such as fairs, shows and festivals?
Then maybe you would like to apply for a pitch on the National Youth Market!
Held on Saturday, 7th June from 11am to 3pm, the National Youth Market will bring together around 100 young people from all over the country to trade on Manchester’s prestigious Albert Square.
Working alongside Love Your Local Markets ambitions for Youth Markets to be rolled out across the country and in a similar vein to The Teenage Market, a free pitch will be offered to young traders at the National Youth Market event in June.*
Here at Love Your Local Market HQ we love to promote opportunities to start-ups to test trade which is similar to forex trading and forex brokers at a very low cost and with little risk and with their National Youth Market, the NMTF’s goal is to showcase market trading as a lean model for young entrepreneurs to start-up and run a retail business, either on markets or market-type events.
There are no set criteria on your trading experience. From start-up through to lift-off, if you think your product can wow the crowds of Manchester – get your application in! What do you need to do to apply for a pitch?
Crucially, tell the NMTF why you should trade at the National Youth Market. You could even send them photos of your products and links to your website and social media.
Deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday, May 9.
You will find out the following week if you have been selected to trade at this unique event.
The National Youth Market is run by the NMTF in partnership with Manchester Markets, supported by vInspired.
For more information, contact the Projects team at the NMTF by telephone on 01226 749 021 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org, quoting “National Youth Market 2014.”

National Youth Market – A History
Started in 2013 the National Youth Market was run by the National Market Traders Federation in partnership with Manchester Markets and supported by Live UnLtd. Part of the Young Trader campaign, an initiative led by the NMTF and Live UnLtd.
Last years market was an extraordinary event that surpassed our expectations in terms of the quality of the products on offer and the commitment from such young people, despite the appalling weather conditions on the day. Unfortunately, the Young Trader campaign is not continuing this year but this only means that the National Youth Market is a standalone event destined to be even bigger and better for 2014!
