Special trader rates at Morecambe’s Festival Market

THE Festival Market in Morecambe is offering a special rate to new traders as part of Love Your Local Market fortnight and National Market Day.

National Market Day (June 23) is a result of one of the recommendations in the recent Mary Portas Report highlighting the importance of supporting local markets.

If you have ever thought about starting your own business, now is the best time to try by taking advantage of the special introductory trader rates on offer between 23 June to 8 July at Morecambe’s Festival Market.

The special offer is for a reduced rent of only £50 per month for the first three months.

The traditional covered market is close to Morecambe Promenade and offers over 100 stalls, shops and cafes. It is open on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays throughout the year.

The market has its own annual events calendar which is bigger and better than ever and benefits from the other festivals and events taking place in Morecambe.

Traders will benefit from support and regular visits from local people and it is a regular destination for coach trips combining shopping and sightseeing.

As part of the Love Your Local Market campaign, the Festival Market will be giving away reusable shopping bags and is organising a Family Fun Weekend on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 July to mark the end of the campaign.

Throughout the weekend, there will be live music, dancing, a climbing wall, Astral Circus, Punch and Judy shows, competitions, a tombola and bouncy castle.
