Love Your Local Market Update

The last two-month’s has seen LYLM 2013 off to a great start and we are pleased to say that the LYLM Toolkit is now up on our site and you can download the Best Practice Guide and Media Toolkit by going to the LYLM Toolkit link on the left of the homepage under Love Your Local Market.

The first five Roadshows starting at Borough Market and with the March 14th event in Leeds have seen numbers up on last year with over 250 delegates already booked in and LYLM 2013 reaching a much wider audience. We already have over 200 markets signed up and over 60% of those markets did not take part last year so we are well on course to get 500 markets involved this year. And why wouldn’t you want to get involved! Last year the research we commissioned to evaluate LYLM 2012 (below) showed that footfall was up 10% in those town centres where LYLM was celebrated. This result is all that more incredible because the fortnight of LYLM produced some of the worst weather of the year.
So you do not need any more reason to register your involvement and work out what you are going to do which you can do now by clicking on the links on the homepage.

The support we have received from Government has enabled us to provide the LYLM Toolkit to deliver a bigger and better campaign and we hope you will find them useful. Look out soon for the revamped Love Your Local Market website where you will fin more resources to help in planning LYLM 2013.
There is still time to sign up for one of the Roadshows and we are pleased that these have now been extended into Sussex and Wales. We will be running events throughout March and into April to provide an opportunity to hear about LYLM 2013 and also provide a forum for networking and informal advice.
