23 Jun Love Your Local Market Fortnight in Bolton 23 June- 8 July
Bolton will be officially launching Love Your Local Market Fortnight with celebrity chef Simon Rimmer on ‘National Market Day’ on Saturday 23rd June.
Around 30 stalls will be set up in Bolton town centre offering first time traders the opportunity to ‘trade for a tenner’. These pitches will be available to first time traders, schools, college and university students and community groups to ‘test out’ market trading, along with a small selection of established traders.
Simon Rimmer will be participating in cookery demonstrations in the town centre and also at Bolton Market during peak times of the day, this will establish a link between the event in the town centre and Bolton Market.
The opportunity to ‘trade for a tenner’ will also be available for first time traders at the monthly Local Produce Market on Sunday 24th June, as well as in Bolton town centre from Monday 25th- Friday 29th June. A similar set up will take place at our district markets at Farnworth Market (Saturday 30th June) and Westhoughton Market (Saturday 7th July) where pitches will be available for just £5.
