It’s Hot, Hot, Hot down on Hebden Bridge Market

After a long cold and wet winter, two traders are putting some heat back into Hebden Bridge Thursday market. The Curried Away and The Crumbly Cheese stalls are offering some of the ‘hottest’ tastes around as part of the national ‘Love Your Local Market’ campaign.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAJeff Thomson’s Curried Away will be sampling naga ghost curry made from the hottest chilli peppers in the world and reputed to be the hottest curry in the world. Andrew Hartley’s The Crumby Cheese will have three of the spiciest cheeses – Mexicana, MC Burnet and red hot chilli. All are English cheeses with the hottest reputations around.

Visitors to the market will be able to sample naga ghost curry sauce and chicken naga ghost curry free at the curried away stall. Donations will be taken for Pennine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS). While The Crumbly Cheese stall will be offering spicy cheese tastings.

“We thought it was time to brush away the winter blues and give our customers something really hot to spice up their visit to the market,”said Jeff.

Curried Away sells traditional Asian curries and snacks to ‘eat on the go’ or ‘take home’ and has been on Hebden Bridge Thursday market since last Autumn.

The tastings will be on Thursday May 23 at the curried away and The Crumbly Cheese stalls on the market in Valley Road, opposite the town hall, Hebden Bridge.
