19 Jun Cambridge – Love your Local Market, 23rd June – 8th July 2012
Love your Local Market is an exciting new national campaign to showcase markets of all types from around the UK. Many markets will feature special activities between 23 June and 08 July 2012. Organisations involved in markets are working together to develop the Campaign as a response to the Mary Portas Report on the future of our High Streets.
Cambridge City Centre Management has developed 3 projects to celebrate this campaign:
1) A Market Quiz
A quiz, which will run throughout the fortnight & will invite members of the public to visit
Cambridge Market to find the answers! There are 24 questions – come along & explore the
amazing diversity we have on Cambridge Markets. The quiz questions are available to download from the City Council website. All completed entries containing the correct answers will be entered into a draw to win fabulous prizes, donated by the Market Traders. To find the quiz visit, www.cambridge.gov.uk/loveyourlocalmarket
2) ‘How do you see Cambridge Market?’

We will have 3 categories for this competition & will award a prize to the winner in each category. The competition is open to anyone over the age of 11 years old. The public will be invited to view & vote for their favourites. The collection will be displayed in the Small Hall, Guildhall, Cambridge on Thursday 5th July between 10am – 7pm.
