11 Jul All day trading at Portobello
The world famous Portobello Road Market, together with it’s associated market on the Golborne Road will be trading for full days this Summer, moving away from the traditional half day trading.
The move will open up opportunities for new traders and apart from street food, for which there is a waiting list, The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea who run the operation, are encouraging people to apply to try out their business ideas. Councillor Tim Ahern, Cabinet Member for the Environment, said: “There really is something for everyone on Portobello and Golborne Markets and now, with these extended opening hours on Thursdays, there is more time to find just what you are looking for.
“It’s also good news for those who would like a casual pitch on the market. So, if you’ve got something to sell, get in touch with the markets office and give it a go.” extended opening hours will be running until 26th September on the market situated in the heart of Notting Hill Gate. Portobello and Golborne Markets offer a wide, eclectic range of products selling everything from fruit and veg, world food, antiques and exciting new fashions, just some of the reasons why the market enjoys thousands of visitors every week who flock there to soak up the sights and sounds of such a vibrant, culturally diverse area, where you are just as likely to see famous faces amongst the crowds.
